Hi,
Apologies in advance if this issue has been raised earlier as well.
My current phone (Live with Walkman WT19i) was switched off yesterday on its own. When I tried turning on, it does not start. It starts with a black screen, and then shows the "Sony Ericsson" logo for a few seconds. After this the screen goes black once again and displays "Sony Ericsson". This cycle keeps repeating itself.
I have removed the battery, the SIM card and memory card as well. Same issue even if I try to start the phone without SIM and memory card. Tried to hold Volume button with power on button for 5 seconds, along with other combinations of physical buttons but to no avail.
Let me know if there is a way to start the phone without saying goodbye to the data.If not, please tell me a way to turn the thing on.
Thanks.

Hi and welcome to the community! Since you're new please be sure that you have checked out our Discussion guidelines.
I'm sorry to hear about your phone. I suggest that you try to repair the phone software using PC Companion:
http://www.sonymobile.com/update
In PC Companion, press start on Support Zone > Start on Update the phone/tablet software > click on the blue highlight (Repair my phone/tablet). Do this without the phone connected. Follow the instructions on screen to perform the repair.
Unfortunately, this resets the phone memory.

Hi,
I tried doing this on a MAC device. I installed Sony Bridge. I went to Xperia menu, clicked on Repair. After the initial screen ("please check battery", etc), I clicked on continue. It says "Unable to initialise", and then freezes. I tried it with and without connecting the phone via USB.
Please help.
That strange. Have you tried to uninstall Bridge for Mac and download it again?
If the behavior persists, I would suggest that you try on another computer.
