Sony Experia Tipo Single Sim not detacting network properly

Hi,

I am having network problems with my Sony Experia Tipo Single Sim.

Some times the phone doea not detect network all together. When some one calls me at that time they get the message like "Not in range"

When I try to call someone I get the message form my carrier "Not registered in Network"

Sometimes the phone shows full network but no one can call me or I can't call some one.

I dont know if the problem is with the hardware of the phone  or Android 4.0

Sony should make a patch for this problem and rectify the problem.

Please let me know how to rectify the problem.

Thanks

1st Repair your phonw with either PCC or SUS

2nd Get a brand new SIM card even if it work with other phones or if you try other SIM cards that work on other phones, just get a BRAND NEW SIM card, if your phone use a MICRO SIM card, get a MICRO SIM card, don't get a regular SIM card an cut it

3rd if neither 1 nor 2 work take it to a Sony repair center

Hi,

I bought Sony Experia Tipo in June 2013.

There are serveral problems with my phone

1) The phone does not detect the network properly which is leading to poor call quality. When I call someone or if someone calls me the person at the other end always tells me that he/she cant hear me or the voice is breaking. I can receive and call some one when the phone shows 1-3 indicators on the network indiacator on the phone. The problem is that the phone shows no indicators on the network indicator  or shows all 4 indicators on the phone most of the time.If the phone shows no indicator on the phone and I try to call someone  the phone says "Not registered on the Netwotk". If the phone shows 4 indicators on the network Indicator the phone and I try to call someone, the phone tries to call but it will only connect when the indicators on the network are between 1-3.

2) The second problem is with the camera. There is a blue color film on the phones camera.which has crippled in some places on the camera. So my pictures are not clear at places where the fil is crippled.

Sony has totally disappointed me with this phone. I bought this phone because of it was from a reputed company like Sony.

Please let me know how to fix the above problems.

Thanks

I have replaced my SIM card yesterday but phone still has the same problem with the new SIM.

I installed 2-3 network diagnostic apps form play store.

One of the apps Network Monitor saves the network details every 10 seconds in the log file.

In the log file there are many columns

There are three important columns in the log file viz.

1) Cell Signal Strength (0-4)

2) Cell Signal Strength (dBm)

3) ASU Level

In the Cell Strrngth column most of the time the value is 1.

As seen in the log file, sometimes the call Strenght value becomes 0 and Cell Signal Strenght column has no valus and ASU Level shows 0

I can email the log file in Excel format if necessary.

I have inserted the new SIM card in my other phone and it works fine

I am not able to figure out what the problem is.

Please guide me what I must do.

Hi for anyone who has network problems and is using a micro sim,

if you notice when you push the sim in all the way you will still see some gold "connectors" showing,

what i did was gently push my sim card in just enough so it covers the connectors and it WORKED Slightly_smiling_Face
