Right side of screen not functioning.

Hello, I bought my ray a couple of weeks ago. It seems to have an intermittent fault where the right side of the screen goes dead or top if the phone is in landscape. This means I am unable to delete in texts and push icons to the right in the home screens etc. It seems to rectify itself for an hour or so then goes wrong again. I have emailed Sony and they recommended doing a software repair through the pc centre. Other than deleting all my apps etc this did nothing. Can anyone suggest a solution for this. I was wondering if it was a calibration issue and if there was a way to adjust the calibration?!

this is not a software problem, its a hardware problem

rush to your sony service center, only they can help you with this..

whats your build number ??

dial *#*#7378423#*#* in dialer > service tests > touch screen> move your finger all over the screen to test it

Hi, the build number is 4.0.2.A.0.62.

I did the test and the rest of the screen is fine but there is a strip about 3/4 of a cm wide that doesn't register any touch.

That is what I was afraid of!!! Thank you for your help I will contact Sony customer services this morning and find out where to take it for repair!!

Hi,

It seems that I have the same issue.

Suddenly, 2 hours ago, my touchscreen have stopped, at least the right half side

I can't use my phone, as it's locked and my scheme use both left and right side, I can't answer calls, I can't do anything in fact...

I've tried to shut down and restart but nothing has changed.

I have the software bridge for Mac but I don't know what I could do more...

What could I do? I can't test #.... as I don't have the keypad

I have replaced front and back screens 3 weeks ago, after the front screen broke, (considering the back screenbroke without any reason a few months ago, but I didn't change it as it was just "aesthetical"), it worked normally until today... Maybe has it something to do with the screen replacement?

I really appreciate if you can help me!
