Hi ,
My Sony Xperia has suddnely gone in restart mode.
It has been constantly restarting since last 2 days.
The phone boots to the screen till it displays XPERIA and then again restarts where it shows SONY in display.
I have not done any OS update etc prior to this problem.
Please advise.

You can safely delete that folder, there are incomplete or corrupted files.
I'd suggest that you do a PC Companion phone repair, this will do a clean installation of the latest firmware and will also wipe your internal memory.
Open PC companion -> Support zone -> Phone/tablet software update -> Repair my phone/tablet (blue link style). Follow the steps given, do not connect your phone until prompted to press volume down while plugging USB cable.

Also note that your phone should be completely off while doing this software repair that Quester mentioned. You can force a shutdown by holding down the ON/OFF + volume up(+) button for 10 seconds. Do this when the phone is not connected to any kind of power source.
Thank you Sir.
I will try the suggested solution today itself.
One question - Data saved in phone like gallery items etc will be gone during this process or we have an option of taking fresh backup to preserve all?
Thanks,
I will try to implement the suggested solution.
Unfortunately, if the phone cannot be powered on correctly, you will not be able to backup any data.
Hi,
I was able to update my phone using PC companion repair and it is working fine now.
However storage shows a folder named LOST.DIR with a size of 6.5 GB. Folder has files with name like 102419 , 102420 etc . These files have date -01-Jan-1980 shown against them.
Is it ok to delete the contents of this folder? Please advise
Thanks
