Red Border problem in Sony Xperia Tipo

Hi,

I have purchased a Sony Xperia Tipo mobile 20 days ago.

I am highly satisfied with the features and the build quality.

But recently, my phone is troubling me by displaying a red border around the screen.

It is not a continous one and appears only if i enter or exit an application. (lets say message inbox)

Restarting the phone didnt help. It is annoying alot and appears to be a serious issue.

Have a look at the attachment and provide a solution.

Settings > Developer options > remove check on Strict mode enabled.

Hello,

I have similar problem; RED BORDER when I touch screen.

Other issue like very poor battery, Speaker quality is bad.

Phone hangs up and doesn't respond to touch on few occassions even when all applications are disabled.

Turning the option off and restarting the phone, didnt show the red border again

I have just got a Sony Miro and mine has been doing exactly the same, so I unticked the box in developer options and restarted the phone which has fixed it. Phew, I was worried it was a software problem and I would need a new one, what a strange function to have on a phone. I have had dozens of phones over the years and never come across anything like this before.

I have the red border too. I take it as a way to know when the Internet signal is poor. As is, when the border is very present or persistent: usually I will not be able to get to the App I am try to open.
