Hi.  I have tried this exactly.  It did not work.

I believe the phone to be off, however it is unresponsive to any button input.  I've indicated that it cycles through the SONY screen coming on, but that's triggered periodically it's own -- it is not a result, nor is it possible to trigger that via power on or any other permutation of buttons that I've tried.  The red power light turns on when the micro cable USB is plugged into the phone, and turns off when it has been removed.  That is seemingly the extent of my ability to interact with the device.

Thank you very much.  What is the next step?

Right 1st of all which may of been mentioned you need to hold the volume up key and power untill you feel 3 vibrations, 1 after the other, Not 1 on it's own 3 will come after, Once that is done then the phone is fully switched off then if you start the repair process it will ask via the onscreen instructions to hold the volume down key and whilst it is held in connect your usb cable - Now assuming your Flashmode driver is installed it should beging the repair process - However as far as i'm aware there may be an issue with the Flashmode and 64bit operating systems

Hi thank you again.  I've gone ahead and held the volume up + power buttons for a full 30 seconds.  There is no response from the phone whatsoever.

What should I do next?  Thank you!

It's not the phone that responds it's the software on your Pc that will notice your phone is in Flashmode and do what is been asked - Volume up plus power you should have been able to feel slight vibrations

Now if your running SEUS select your phone select repair then on screen at some point it will ask you to connect your phone - At this point you hold volume down then connect your usb cable - Theres no power button invloved just volume down if all goes well and drivers are installed SEUS will begin the repair - From what you are saying ie: The sony logo showing in a boot loop then your phone is fine it just needs re-installing or repair

If you are having problems or are unsure then I would be happy to remote network and do this for you via Teamviewer

Hi Thommo ;

I'd like to take you up on your offer to try a Teamcenter chat.  I'm at a loss for what to do.  Nothing seems to be working.

It is a relatively new, under 2 months old, phone.  I'm not sure what SEUS is, but I've not altered the phone in any way... Have just installed a few apps -- just the usual suspects too.

Thank you!

Am I to understand that you have made sure your phone is fully switched off via power and volume up untill your could feel 3 vibrations 1 after the other not 1 on it's own 3 will come soon after,

Then using either PCC or SUS (I prefer SUS found here http://www.sonymobile.com/global-en/tools/update-service/) You began the repair process and then when prompted you held volume down then connected the USB cable (At no point did should you use the power button) If you have done that and nothing worked then I'd need to know which operating system are you using because as I understand it there is an issue with 64 bit systems and Flashmode which is needed for repairs and upgrades or is your bootloader unlocked as this will also stop any repair or upgrade from taking place.

Have you also tried different USB ports, USB cable and a different Pc and or Laptop?
