my LED is broken

hi my sony xperia sp fell out of my pocket and landed on its back it worked for hours later and then all of a suden the screen had red line going tru it I brought it to a fone shop and they said it was the LED can I send it bk to the compaany to be fixed because it is way to expensive to get it fixed in my town ??????

You can DIY, it will be cheaper but it will void your warranty
