Mac Software

Mac Software

Hi,

I will be investing in both a Sony Xperia S and an Apple iMac sometime soon. I would be interested to know what the compatibility is like, with the Xperia S software on a Mac operating system. Is everything still simple and fluid as it is with Windows?

Thanks!

Sam

I have not used the phone with a MAC myself. However from my understanding the compatibility has really stepped up from what it used to be a year or two ago. You may want to take a look at the software you would be using for this connectivity:

hiya, am a professional apple tech in the uk and decided to try an xperia z as a comparison to an iphone 5s and upon the realisation that owning a mac and using sony bridge for mac software, the phone is utterly pointless. where with itunes it takes just a few minutes to transfer a few hundred songs, on bridge for mac it take almost an hour (thats with an i7 and ssd by the way) and pushes the internal temp to almost 80 degrees C! its an awful piece of software riddled with bugs and in dire need of re-witing. pity really as android itself isnt an overly bad idea but is only truly accessible to windows users. for the time being my new xperia z is laying dormant on the shelf and nstead using an old iphone 4 which works well, granted fairly slowly.

Perhaps this issue can be addressed so others dont needlessly waste their money on sony phones like i have?
