long press does not select

Hello, I'm using Xperia keyboard, when I long press an editable field, it put the cursors insert sign and in not editable field, it magnifies. Is there a way to simply *select*?

Thabk you dear,

now i can select in editable field

However, i can not select a field in the contacts unleess i enter edit mode. If i double tap (or single tap) a phone # it will call and if i do that with an email address, it will ask to pick an app to process the item
