JB: A new lock screen is applied and not able to remove it

Hi,

A few days back my xperia P has got a new lock screen with a unlock touch button for slider option to either side(left for camera and right for home screen) and I have option to add some widgets by sliding lock screen to left and for social apps by sliding the lock screen to right.

This was automatically applied to my phone I never did it manually.

There many issues with this lock screen some times I am not able to recieve calls then I have to push power button and then to pick the calls.

There are no options for this to remove in settings or to change to default screen lock( earlier available for jelly bean, up or down sliding unlock).

Please solve this issue.

I have OS jelly bean 4.1.2

build no.  6.2.A.1.100

Regards,

Kamal

Sounds like you have an 3rd party lock screen installed.

You should be able to take a screenshot if you press and hold the power button and volume down at the same time for a few seconds.

Try to uninstall any apps you recently downloaded to see if you get back your standard lock screen.

That's the default lockscreen on Jelly Bean.

You have few options

1) download a different lock screen app from the playstore

or

2) downgrade to ICS

You can choose from a set of screen lock options at Settings--Security--Screen lock. There is also a "none" option if you choose to use none.

actually the default one is with up and down slide option to unlock this is different.

I can not even have a screenshot while screen is locked.

Easy! Remember the app you recently install for screen lock. Then go to settings>App manager>ALL and then choose the app you've installed for this screen lock, click clear cache and clear defaults.

You can also uninstall this if you want to remove it anyway.
