I have a doubt whether my phone is genuine !

I bought my phone from a local retailer few months back . Since that I have had any issure with my device and it has worked fine , without any issues , but yesterday I came across your online imei checker and they are telling it is invalid ! It acts almost same and I think there is some kind of an problem, and it shows the update notification , benchmark results the same , and every thing working just fine , and my retailer is telling that warranty will be rejected if I ve updated and met up with a issue !
So what should I do

Ok now,relax.First,you can't rely much on Internet.Second,here's a way to check whether your phone is genuine or not:
1)Open your phone dialer.Then press *#06#
2)You will see your phone IMEI's number.
The number would be have 15 digits eg. 35****[05]******* (those star represents other digits,which is individual and should only be known by you)
3)Check the 7th and 8th digit.If the 7th and 8th digit's value is 05(like the one in bracket above).Then you have a genuine one.If you have number beside those,than it might be an artifical product(not original).

Hope your phone is genuine.

Yeah its 05 i almost scolded the retailer .
