How to activate "Show status updates" under settings in Contacts

I wanted to see the status updates of my facebook friends under contacts app. I've set the facebook app to "sync all" and the facebook inside Xperia is also checked. I'm coming from a freshly updated firmware .42 under the PC Companion Suite.

go to any homescreen with enough space...

add the facebook widget..

come back to contacts , press the menu button and select settings...

in that you wil see some updates option..

i dont have the phone with me right now so gl through all the settings ok..

select facebook , and you'll see the status updates , restart your phone if not..

Hey mate...did what u wrote...but when i went to settings, Show Status Option is not available to click. I can click on Account & sync above it, Service Dial no below it but not on Show Status Update. It is showing message that connect and sync one or several social networking accounts. I'hav already done that, my facebook, twitter & linkedin accounts are already connected and synchronized.
