How do you take underwater pictures in sony xperia v?

How do you take underwater pictures in sony xperia v? I use the timer mode since I can't use the camera button on the screen when it's underwater. Is there any way I can work around this since xperia v doesn't have a camera button?

Please be aware that whilst it is water resistant, it is not designed to be used as an underwater handset. As such there is no specific feature other than what you have currently been using to perform this function sorry.

I agree with Sam the phone is "water resistant" NOT water proof, you have 2 options

1. root your phone and install a mode so you can use a volume key as a camera shutter

or

2. use an app that will use the proximity sensor

This works on the Xperia Z do some research, you might be able to find a mod and/or app for the Xperia V
