Google Play Services cannot be found

I cannot find Google Play Services on my Xperia S.

I connect to my pc and install from web and it downloads and says "your Google play services will be installed soon". Still nothing.

I have Apps that are not working on my phone because Google Play Services is not there.  I can't see it in settings>Apps. Can't see it's icon anywhere.

Please can anyone help?

Cheers

So you have rooted the phone and you are experiencing issues, correct?

Yes, Rooted following advice to remove some apps to allow others to update etc etc, but unfortunately not fully understanding the technicalities! Stupidly deleted Google Play not realising the concequences!

Managed to install Google Play Store and Google Play Services......

by....

1. Device rooted?
2. Download Root explorer and install it. Link: https://onedrive.live.com/redir?resid=701CBA6E5F70...

3. Download google play. link: https://onedrive.live.com/redir?resid=701CBA6E5F70...

DO NOT INSTALL GOOGLE PLAY YET

4. Download google play services. Link: https://onedrive.live.com/redir?resid=701CBA6E5F70...
DO NOT INSTALL GOOGLE PLAY SERVICES YET

5. Go to root explorer, and navigate to the folder were you saved Google Play and Google Play Services (Usally sdcard/download)Now long press on each of them, and select copy or move.

6. Move the files to system/apps by going back to the root or main screen of root explorer, and navigate to system/app.

7. Now paste these .APKs into this folder.

8. Change the permission by long clicking Google Play and Google Play Services, and check the boxs to User: Read and Write. Group: Read. Others: Read. (Check this picture to make sure you checked them right https://onedrive.live.com/redir?resid=701CBA6E5F70...)

9.Now you can finally install Google Play And Google Play Services

10. Before they work correctly you will need to restart your device...................................HOWEVER.......>

They are listed as installed but they don't work, it just says "Unfortunately Google Play has stopped"

Haha....using root browser application delete the folder for com.android.vending

path for which is /data/data/com.android.vending.

Then reinstall Google Play services and Google Play Store from the root system/apps folder....
