Is there any way to get rid of the swipe up Google now feature? It has yo be the single most annoying thing on the planet. It is making me seriously want to get another phone. I disabled it but the button causes the phone to freeze whenever I press it.

You can try this app:

Or mess around with ADB commands,it should work too.

There is also the option to disable google search app.
