This sound like a simple question, but I have tried pressing the text box method and nothing happens. I cannot get the Chinese keyboard to appear on my Acro S or my Xperia V.
I don't even see a language selection button on my keyboard.
In the language and keyboard settings page, the check boxes for Chinese, Korean, Japanese are ticked by default and I cannot uncheck themm too.
This seems like a darn easy thing to do on my other phones like my Galaxy S2 andHTC One X.
But this is really escaping me on my Sony phones.
Anyone got a solution to this apparently simple problem?

In later versions of the firmware this works differently. Simply bring up the keyboard then slide down the notification bar and you will see the text input settings.

Thanks for solving the mystery. I think this is one area where Sony can make some improvements on. There should be a long press key on the keyboard itself.where you can access alsettings and features of the keyboard.
Spacebar key is also a bit small. As you can see I am. Hitting the full stop key very often when I am thinking I am hitting the space bar. This comes from using previous phones that have a good sized space bar
Thanks again for the help with the keyboard settings.
This help solve my Xperia-Z Chinese input problem. Thanks.
