can't update sony xperia s

hi, i have problems updating my phone to the new system, 6.1.A.0.452. I am using PC Companion and followed the instructions carefully. however, at the 2nd stage (Prepare), my phone will turn off by itself. this is not suppose to happen as i am suppose to switch it off for 5 seconds later. i also have problems connecting to the PC and carrying out the rest of the update process... my phone will be charging instead of being connected to the PC. can anyone help me with this problem? i don't know what to do... i'm stuck at the 2nd stage... thanks!:smileysad:

can you try with other PC ?

it seems to be an issue with the flashmode drivers

thank you. that solved my problem. used my sister's laptop and my phone could connect perfectly fine!

i tried all of the above, i can't turn my phone on anymore, man, i paid alot of money for this phone, not to go through all this bs

does the phone charge when you connect it to th ewall charger?

got it to turn on, did the update, now the phone is slow like a turtle, wish i didn't update it
