I fixed the problem by resetting the phone. I don't know if there was another way to fix it but it works now! Thanks for the help though.
Have you tried to download apps both with WiFi connection and with mobile network?
If you experience problem with both connections I suggest that you try to clear data and uninstall updates for Market/Google Play Store. Go to settings > apps > manage apps > the tab "all" > Market/Google Play Store. Restart your phone and try to download apps again.
I have the same problem with my Xperia Pro bought 2013-03-27.
No apps can be gotten from Google Market.
Internet works but is rather slow.
maybe an Android upgrade from 2.3.4 to 4.x will fix it?
Every app in the store says that it is incompatibe with my version.
In that case I suggest that you try to repair the phone software using PC Companion:
In PC Companion click start under Support Zone > update phone software > repair phone. Follow the instruction in the program.
You can also try to log in to Google Play with another Google account.
