The only way to hide the icon for a downloaded app without uninstalling the app is to use a 3:rd party launcher instead of the preinstalled launcher. I think Nova Launcher can do this for example.
But another solution is to set the sorting order in our launcher to your own order and then sort the icons so the ones you rarely use are on the last page.
Some applications can be disabled if you go to Settings > Apps > The tab "All" > Tap at the app > Check if you are able to press "Disable". When you disable an application, it will be hidden from your app drawer and you will not be able to use it.
only some apps have disable function, what about the others?
The others are system apps and cannot be disabled.
I am talking about donloaded apps, I can't hide them
There is no option to hide an app,you can only disable. If you download an app,you can uninstall updates for it and simply remove it from your device.
