Can I Throw movies to a laptop?

I downloaded Frozen (cause I didn't watch it when it was cool (this is a pun)) but the 4,6'' screen is a bit too small for movies, and i'd like to use the Throw function to watch it on my laptop, but it isn't working (Windows 8.1, 6 bit)

Is this even possible, or I have to watch it on my phone?

If your computer supports Micracast or DLNA it should be possible. You can find more info regarding screen mirroring and DLNA in the user guide:
