Hi,
My Xperia S phone is running on Jelly Bean 4.1.2 (build number 6.2.B1.96). I am assuming my phone is currently on bluetooth version 2 or 3. How do I upgrade the bluetooth to version 4?
I need to have my phone running on bluetooth 4 to be able to connect it to my car and personal fitness trackers.
Any clues?
Thanks,
Abs

Hi,
Sony Xperia S uses Bluetooth version 2.1 and unfortunately, it is not possible to upgrade it.
Hi,
I would like to know the bluetooth version currently running in my Xperia S. Any tools/commands I can use on the phone to find this detail?
Thanks,
Abs
Sorry for not being clear earlier. I am not looking fot the original specs coming from the Xperia S phone. As with other smartphones, there have been few android software upgrades on my phone, and I am sure the bluetooth firmware also got updated alongside.
How can I check the current bluetooth version running in my phone. Any clues?
Thanks,
Abdul
Thanks for the replies.
Is it not true that, with each android version upgrade on Xperia S, bluetooth software/firmware will also be upgraded?
The Xperia S last update was
Android version: Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean)
Latest available software: 6.2.B.1.96
Release started: 2013-08-26

The updates were either android versions and/or bug fixes, there won't be any further updates on this device.
