Battery stops charging at 60%

My fone charges up to about 60% then it will stop charging though the red charging light will show but won't charge , then it's starts going down quickly and it  takes ages to start charging again. The fone is just about a year. It's quite frustrating, please I need help.

Hi @Toppy, sorry to hear about this.

Do you experience the same behaviour when the phone is powered off while charging? If you haven't tried charging it when its powered off, I'd recommend that you do that and make sure that you are using the charger that was included with the phone and that you are using a wall socket.

You can also charge the phone the when it's rebooted in safe mode. That way we can see if this is caused by a third party application or not, since those type of applications aren't loaded in safe mode.
