4G / LTE indicator in Status Bar

can you please help me what this means, # system prop to turn off CdmaLTEPhone always telephony.lteOnCdmaDevice=0 # start in GSM/WCDMA (WCDMA preferred) ro.telephony.default_network=0 Are these set ups preventing me to use my LTE functionality?

For quite awhile now, even if I am in an LTE area, I can only get the H+ icon, no 4G nor LTE, I checked the bands supported in my country and my Xperia V supports it. Is it the code on my phone's build.prop preventing me from getting the LTE connection?

Please help me with this. Thank you so much.

No, You need to sign up to 4G/LTE with your network, Your phone calls etc work on 3G and as such mobile data is as standard included - 4G is different and can often cost slightly more

Tap Settings then More then Mobile networks and then Network mode - Do you have it set to LTE preferred

Thank you for the reply. Yeah, I've set it already. My concern really is the line that I saw on my system/build.prop and I indicated it on my post. Could it be the reasin why my LTE is not working?

Unless you have modified it then it should work assuming you are in a LTE area and have a LTE agreement with the network - I'm on 4G/LTE but my son isn't albeit his phone also has LTE capability so still won't receive it

LTE agreement? You mean like a subscription plan? Can we not access LTE for free like 3g and 2g does?
