My M5's screen cannot detect my hand after a few hours going to swimming pool. It can be switch on but i cant do anything with my phone. I have search some of the causes and i believe it might be because of there is water inside my phone. Is there any solutions for this problem? I hope someone might be able to help. Thanks!
Hi @hallyn_philip, welcome to the community.
I am sorry to hear about this,
I recommend you contact your Local support team to arrange an assessment.
I got water Damage problem with sony m5 hand set , plz suggest me that how to fix that problem.
I'm sorry to hear about your issue, but I doubt that it'll be covered by warranty, but you could contact your Local support regarding that.
What you should do is do NOT try to turn it on nor charge it
Remove any case, film, protecting glass
Remove the SIM and SD cards and leave it open
Place it in a bag with rice for 24-48hrs
sony m5 ...my touch screen has stopped suddenly doesn’t respond any more and i have removed its protector and it is still not working .. also my volume down botton does’t work well
does any one know the solution for this proplem
This looks like a hardware issue, most probably due to water or sweat leaked into the phone from the volume button side. You can restart your phone into safe mode to disable all 3rd party apps temporarily and check if one of your apps is causing this, but I doubt it.
If it behaves the same in safe mode, then you should contact your Local support and get your phone inspected by a professional.
@Quester
but my button volume is damaged from the first day i bought the phone .. the touch screen is not responding with me sometimes bofero i but the phoe under the water !!
it may be not a hardwere isuue so i want to make a new softwere to the phone but the volume down button is broken can u pls figure it out ?!
You can connect your phone using a USB cable to a PC or Mac with Xperia Companion installed then choose "Software Repair" option and follow the steps. You stated that your volume button is not working properly so you'll have to do this process with your phone turned on and charged.
@Quester
i have done that before through the experia companion but while reparing it asks me to press in the volume bottun which is already damaged !!
Then you have no other option than doing a factory reset. If this also didn't work for you then you'll have to contact your Local support and get your phone inspected by a professional.
