I have an Xperia L1, its not new (used for about a year). When I go to my music and photos app it says I have no music and no photos yet I do have both pictures and tons of music on my phone. It used to show them just fine but one day I woke up and my library had just vanished. I already tried removing and reinserting my external sd card(SanDisk 8gb), I also already tried using a different Sdcard still nothing. Even cleared my cache and data for media storage, the Google framework thingy and playstore to no avail. I even formatted my my sdcard and even factory reset my phone yet no progress. I have tried the whole deleting nomedia still to no success.
The phone also refuses to connect to pcs it says: com.process.media keeps stopping. And so I can't try and repair the software through the companion app for pc. I really need help please. Thank you in advance
This may not be terribly helpful, but I have a similar problem. I have downloaded music before, and it showed up just fine, but after putting in my sim card, any new music I download won't show up in any music app at all. I can go to my downloads folder and open it from there, but not through a music app.
I think your sim card may be causing this. Take it out and see how it goes, maybe even factory reset after taking it out too.
