Hi,
I have a Xperia L1. Purchase from Operator/Communication service. My Communication service and Sony has add some apps for my Communication service. This apps to look at billing etc. I mean my phone coming with some apps. When I do soft reset, apps still here. When I do hard reset with Pc Companion, apps still here too. I can only deactivate this apps. And I open wrongly some websites with Google Chrome and they probably has a malware/virus etc and maybe my phone infected. I'm not sure and I can't want to be login my e-mail/google account/facebook etc. I want to be really reset my phone. So Pc Companion is enough for this reason? So It's really delete all Android os, memory etc and download new Android os in Sony servers and re-install my phone? Or it can be use any files in my phone and re-install Android? If Pc companion download new Android (new or same version) why my Communication service apps still here? Why its not install fresh Sony Android os? Why this apps coming again or how this apps coming again. My question is Sony Pc Companion enough for reset my phone like new? Like Factory output? Its fix anything? Sorry for my basic English. Thanks for everything.
Hi @A_by_A,
I'm sorry to hear this.
If you want to reset your device there are two ways you can go about to do so. You can perform a software repair using Xperia Companion or you can reset your device to factory settings by going to: Settings > Backup & reset > Factory data reset > Reset phone. Note that to completely reinstall your Android system you need to do the software repair option.
Both methods will delete all of your personal data stored on your devices internal storage, so it is advised to do a back up prior to resetting your device. You can do this using Xperia Companion or by going to: Settings > Backup & reset > More > Manual backup > Backup
Let me know if this answers your question.
