Sony, please stop making 16gb internal memory phones! 

The Xperia XZ Premium alone out of the box, pre install of everything, Google sheets, docs, slides, etc. Already takes up 16gb. Who the f is this device for in 2017. Please please... Just why? They ain't going to run project Google A for this 3rd world country kid! This person couldn't even download Skype. 5.5 inch screen with 16gb??? Really? It's just better to buy and older phone than to buy this planned obsolescence bull crap. Perhaps get an Z5 Premium (2015) 5.5 screen with 32gb, or XA1 Ultra 6.0 inch with 32/64gb, or bump down to an older Z3+ or Z5 than ever pick this phones.

It will suit some users who don't rely on apps that much. If it doesn't suit you, then go for any of the alternatives you already mentioned. Your rage won't help with anything.

I'm not comparing it to the Z line, a regular person can not survive off 16gb internal storage in 2017 period. Have you tried? You have sacrifice a lot of apps is and streamline apps needed. It's a horrible experience. What I'm saying the boat has freak sailed. 16gb doesn't cut it for someone that does everything you do at mid-range price (or a temp phone if your flagship broke), they couldn't survive.

Planned obsolescence. Is what it comes down to.

I am ragging bit, but let me settle down now. Planned obsolescence is what bother's me. Making okay mid-range devices that won't last the next few years, because of spec constraints. Right now only major spec constraint to allow you to run your phone and apps is internal memory. 32gb internal market price is about 20 bucks even less at whole sale. Limitations limits growth. 

People are very sensitive when it comes to storage space. Google Photo even markets it to iPhone users experience "sorry out of storage" rage quit. Those 8gb and 16gb users. 

I just want Sony to make GREAT phones people will love. Sony is already on a 6 month kick with making new phones. They flood the market with unsold, used, refurbished, etc. But flood it with a something good! Because people break their phones all the time. FIrst-time users would say wow. 

16gb internal just hindrance on Sony, sell more devices and be in the market longer if they just jump the gun to 32 or even 64gb internal.

I like what Sony did their new lineup of XA1, XA1 Ultra, etc. All having 32gb or above. 

It was Sony fixing all their mistakes at MWC 2017. XA had 16gb 2gb ram -to- XA1 32gb 3gb ram, XA Ultra 16gb 3gb ram -to- XA1 Ultra 32/64gb 4gb ram, XZ -to- XZs 32/64gb 4gb ram, bringing out true flagship XZ Premium. 

When I saw the L1 announcement, okay has type-c, OK. But 16gb? It feels like a step backwards.

At the beginning I was also upset with the L1 being like too "entry level" then I stopped a moment and thought... "Wait, it is in fact an entry level device".

Think about Samsung, LG or Motorola and their entry level devices that both in 2016 and 2017 are with 8gb of internal storage and 1.5gb of ram.

I don't praise the idea but it will be an appetible device for who can't afford a flagship nor a midrange, I also imagine it can be a good deal for some prepaid carrier willing to offer some "brand" at a reasonable price.

I have the Xperia XA (2016) which has 16GB internal memory and I am doing just fine. Not everyone is a power user, the only apps I use are the stock provided ones so anything too powerful/high storage is just a waste of money.

If you don't like it then don't buy it-simple! Oh and it looks great!
