Help str-ks100 2ch only sound

I am at the end of my tether now and about to through everything through the window and need help

I have a str-ks100 surround sound but will only play in 2ch. Now I can get sound from the rear speakers but not a full surround sound more the back are playing the same as front 2. I have tried optical cable, normally used HDmi as I have multiple inputs. Change all settings calibrated the speakers you name it I have tried it. What am I doing wrong

Hello @Atreyu218,

which type of signal are you feeding the system?

If you want sourround, you need to feed a sourround signal into it, otherwise you either get 2.1 sound or "copy" that 2.1 sound to the rear speakers as well.

Currently using virgin media tivo v6 box, ps4, Google chrome cast ultra as my 3 main inputs all support dolby surround sound

I couldn't find the model on the Sony UK website at all . Are you sure it's STR-KS100 ?
