Will there ever be an update to support the 21:9 ultrawide format on the BDP-S6700?

sorry but, I haven't understood what kind of compatibility (support) do you want?...

You would like to see video files 21:9 in full screen? Without banners?

i would like to see an option in setup for the 21:9 ratio and not just the usual 4:3 and 16:9,at the moment any blu-rays in the 21:9 format have the black bars top and bottom because of only supporting upto 16:9,as ultrawide is becoming more popular i thought sony would have included the option by now.

The Aspect Ratio of TV is the problem, an Option for the 21:9 only can a Zoom, with an Option for 21:9 you can not see anymore the black bar but also parts of video, on the left and on the right... Like a "Zoom"...
