bdp-s490 network connection via Bravia tv ?

This is probably a silly question, but can anybody confirm either way if its possible to link an S-490 Blu Ray player to an Internet enabled KDL-32HX753 using a short Ethernet cable. I obviously have the wireless Internet on the tv but would like to enable the blu ray too.

Not keen on running a long cable to the router and the adapter is just too dear !!

Not a silly question. Unfortunatley though, it doesnt work that way. So no, it cannot be done.

There are products called HDMI with Ethernet, but im pretty confident that they are not supported yet

Thanks the speedy reply. I though not. Not the end of the world but I'd rather have used the blu ray remote rather than the tv remote to access the smart functions on the account of its size. Fine for operating the tv though.
