Power Issue

I bought a Sony Hi-Fi a while back .. Model- .. MHC-GTZ31 and when I switch it on it then stays on for a matter of 5-10 seconds then switches itself off. I have tried a different fuse in the plug but it still continues to switch itself off. Can anyone help as I love this system and cant really afford a new one? lol

Some of these systems have a timer system to switch off if not being used for whatever length of time it's set to. I was able to bypass this setting on my beloved cmt-fx250. I can simply press and hold the power button on my unit until the power save setting changes to 'OFF' on the screen.

I must admit, if my player started doing this, I'd be upset too!

Have a pop at the press and hold suggetion, and here's hoping it works,
