Sony Handycam DCR-PC330E

i have a sony handycam dcr-pc330e. It was rewinding i stopped it and played some and since then the touch screen buttons have not worked. When I press the buttons the screen recognises a touch but nothing happens. Any ideas?

Have you tried removing the battery for 15-20 minutes and putting it back in to see if it resets the camera. As you have said that it isn't recognising touches on the screen, getting to the system reset function may be tricky.
