My handycam software isn't compatible with Windows XP-Professional. Help!

I tried to install the software to my lap top which runs on XP Professional. It keeps crashing. Anyone else had this problem?

Is it the Picture Motion Browser software that you are having problems with.?

If so does anything in the Sony Interactive Troubleshooting Guide help.?

Does the software actually install.?

If so have you tried installing the update:Picture Motion Browser update
