Hi - I have bought a used HVL-IRH2 Infrared lamp to use with my FDR-AX100E, but didnt realise that the shoe fitting has changed to multi-interface shoe, whereas the lamp has an "Intelligent Accessory Shoe" fitting. Does anyone know if there is an adapter available which would allow me to fit this lamp, or do I need to buy a more recent version (i.e. the HVL-LEIR1) .
Many thanks if anyone can help,
Hi @Gilesman,
if I am not mistaken the Sony ADP-MAC adapter does exactly what you need: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00B1NS9QM/

Wow, thats brilliant, I never would have found it! Many thanks!
Unfortunately the ADP-MAC adapter arrived and it is not the correct solution. The adapter converts "Multi Interface Shoe" (which I have on my camcorder) to "Active Interface Shoe". The infrared light actually has a "Intelligent Accessory Shoe", which is NOT the same.
How many different types of camcorder shoe are there for heavens sake?!
So - is there an adapter that converts "Multi Interface Shoe" to "Intelligent Accessory Shoe"?
Hello @Gilesman,
I am utterly sorry for the misunderstanding.
Would you mind posting an image of the shoe on your light?
