Remote control problem

Hi. I have a Sony android tv with a humax box. Whenever I watch Netflix or prime and then switch back to TV, my Sony remote won’t work. It won’t change tv channels, bring up the TV guide or go on to my recordings page. I have to use the humax remote for that. If I switch off the plugs for the humax and tv the Sony remote will work again until I play Netflix or prime again.

Have you tried unplugging both of them for a few minutes then trying to control the TV normally again?

Hi,

I have a Sony Bravia Tv with the remote control. I also have a Freesat Humax box with control. I use the Sony control for everything until I watch something on the Netflix button or the home button (which I use for Amazon prime) When I switch back to normal TV the Sony remote won’t work again, unless I unplug everything and plug it back in. I have tried resetting the Sony control by taking out the batteries, pressing the off button for a couple of minutes and then putting the batteries back in, pressing all the buttons on the Sony control in case there’s any dirt there. Everything I’ve googled doesn’t work. It’s very frustrating because it’s only started happening in the last couple of months. So I keep switching between the Sony control and the Humax control unless I keep unplugging everything. I’m open to any suggestion you might have to hopefully solve this.

Make sure to update the TV to the latest software version it might helps. What it your TV model?
