KD-49XH8196 sorcery

Hi All,

We have a new KD-49XH8196 with some very strange issues. We watch freesat primarily and this is where the issues lie, we have a dish connected directly to the TV. The TV is also conencted to a HT-SF150 Sony Soundbar using HDMI (ARC).

Issue 1: about 50% of the time when we turn on the TV the audio and picture are very badly out of sync. If we change the audio settings to TV speakers and then back to Audio device it solves the problem.

Issue 2: When we change channel to ITV on freesat the subtitles turn on and we have to manually turn them off every time.

Issue 3: We cant install UK TV Plap App - its not listed as being available for the device. How can we watch UK TV Play?

Can anyone help please?

Issue 1 and 2 seem to be related to the software, do you have the latest software version?

As for issue 3, there's essentially nothing you can do to "enable" downloading it. You'll need an alternative way of getting the app, like casting from a phone or laptop for example.
