Casting from iPhone to TV

Just bought a KDL32WD751 tv and want it to screen mirror from my iPhone. It seems I need a Direct vo Bravia password. Does anyone know where to find it please?

Hi @TomBrad   I’m 99.9% certain that you cannot screen mirror your iPhone to a 2016 Linux TV. I would be surprised if you could even just play audio. You need something like an Apple TV box connected to it.

My tv is not a Linux 2016. It is Sony’s latest top of the range . I used to cast from my iPhone to my ancient Panasonic using a £10 dongle. Have I gone backwards buying Sony?

Hi @TomBrad

Just checking that you have a KDL-32WD751. I’m sorry, this is a Sony 2016 Linux TV. A low value entry model Sony TV. If you have a look at it’s support page you will see that the Operating instructions are dated 10/08/2016. Also have a look at the specifications, software os=Linux. The “D” is the giveaway, D=2016, E=2017, F=2018, G=2019 and H=2020. In general terms the “7” = entry level Linux, 8=entry level Android and 9 = top of the range LCD Android.

If this has been sold as a Sony’s top of the range then you have a case of miss selling to pursue.
