Hi, just wondering if anyone knows if Sony accept damaged lens to refurbish and give £credit towards a new one?

- Hi not that I know of. I have a SLT 24-70 sony zeis prime lens. A long story short I paid £1200 new several years ago. It went faulty, was difficult to arange repair & was more difficult getting an estimate. I eventually pinned them down to an inspection fee and estimate. I had it repaired at the cost £500 A lot of money and no doubt now would be a lot more expensive (the same lens is now £2200 ?) The lenses are complicated and will age more quickly, I think opting for less fancy electronics is the way to go. Regards D

Hi thanks, yes very expensive to repair. Half the price of a brand new one
so may as well opt for that and get the warranty that comes with it. Was
hoping Sony to keep it to refurb and credit a bit toward a new one. Will
give them a call to see what they say.
