The android 10 update broke the recent apps function. Pressing the recent apps on the navigation bar crashes the Xperia home. Recent apps only works with the Xperia Home launcher or using the 2 button system navigation option with other launchers. Also, the gesture navigation forces you to use the Xperia Home launcher. This is kind of ridiculous. Check attached screenshots:-

I also noticed that the ultra stamina mode was removed.
I use the Nova Launcher as my main launcher. Unfortunately the latest update has created an issue with the task switcher. The button will go to a blank home screen and then I'll receive an error that says " Xperia Home keeps stopping". Anyone have any idea for what I could do to fix it?
I am having the same issue with mine. I use Nova Launcher and when I reset it to make the default home launcher Xperia Home it seemed to work for the most part. I would rather be able to use my custom icon packs and launcher however. Hopefully this issue is solved soon!
I use the Microsoft Launcher. I checked online, and Pixel phones during the beta with the same gesture navigations did not work with Nova Launcher before an update. I downloaded Nova to see if this was a similar issue, but no. It did not work for me. According to this article, https://www.androidpolice.com/2019/12/02/the-pixel-4-supports-android-10-gesture-nav-with-third-part... , Pixel phones have been updated. Sony seems to be behind on the Android 10 update, but even then, this is Google screwing this up. My initial post had Sony in the crosshairs, but I was wrong. The more I dig into this, the more I am convinced this is squarely on Google.
Yes this is another bug issue with my brand new Xperia 5 between this and Google's terrible gesture nav keys, I really haven't been able to enjoy my new device at all
Yup. I wish there was some way to go back to Android 9. I should have gone with Samsung instead of Sony to be honest.
