How do I control Google play music from lock screen

Hi I just bought a Xperia 5 and I can't seem to figure out how to control my Google play music from the lock screen. I have tried looking it up but all the advice I ever get is for Samsung Galaxy phones. Any help would greatly be appreciated

I assume Play Music is playing and you have a black screen.

Then just double tap on the black screen and your control appears.

Maybe first goto settings -> gestures -> tap to show lock screen

If you did not set that setting then touching the power button should do the trick.
