Hi Everyone
I bought a Z5C a couple of months ago, and although I quite like it, I have been having issues since the Marshmallow upgrade arrived on my phone.
Every so often (average once per day, more often if I'm using it for something intensive like navigation) the screen will freeze for a few seconds, go blank, then the led will flash red and the device will reboot. I can't tie the reboots to any particular app or activity, and sometimes it even happens overnight. I've tried the software repair to no good effect. Any ideas on how to debug or otherwise address this?
Thanks very much
Charlie
Tap 7 times on Build then u're being Developer and inside new Settings u'll find how to send a LOG to Sony but in few hours, I think, they'll answer u how to get in touch with them , so stay tuned here
Thanks, Robert, sadly it offered my no guidance on submitting logs etc.
Anyone from support able to offer any insight?

Hi @Redream, welcome to our forums!
I'm sorry to hear about that.
When you performed the software repair, did you restore a backup directly after the repair was completed and/or started to install apps again?
If you did, some of the data in the backup or the applications may be the cause of your phone restarting.
I would recommend that you restart your phone in safe mode and that you use the phone as normal in there for a day or two and see if you still experience these restarts. When the phone is rebooted in safe mode third party application will not be loaded, just to make sure that they aren't the cause of these restarts.
You can also remove your SIM and/or SD card and see if the phone continues to restarts, a faulty or defect SIM and/or SD card can cause your phone to restart.
Let me know how it goes!
Thanks for the update!
I'm sorry to hear that the phone is still restarting.
Try removing the SIM card from the phone as well, since a faulty or defect SIM card may cause your phone to restart.
If you are still experiencing that the phone is restarting without SIM and SD card mounted in the phone while it's rebooted in safe mode I would recommend getting in contact with your Local support team so they can assist you with having the phone sent in to an authorized service centre.
They will also be able to assist you with any questions that you may have regarding service times, warranty and so forth.
Keep me posted!
