Unfortunately, it did not work. I reset the device to factory defaults and now it seems to work fine.

Welcome to the community,
Can you please try downloading the Internet settings to the device.
Menu > Settings > More > Internet Settings > Accept Disclaimer > Choose network carrier
Once downloaded try downloading again.
