I've had my Z3 compact for a year and I've recommended it to friends due to the fantastic battery life. But over the last few days it's been terrible. Previously it could be at 70%+ late in the evening, but now it's struggling to make it to the evening at all. Today I had to turn it off as it was getting hot in my pocket.
Apparently the culprit is "Android OS" as you can see in the screenshots:
I've seen reports of a "mobile radio active" issue in Lollipop. Is this it? If it is, why has it only started happening now? Any clues would be great,
Thanks
Chris

Ok, so I have a Mac so I:
Now when I try to restore from backup it claims that there's no space on the phone and I need to delete something first, which is odd because after the repair there's a good 10Gb free. When I try to restore without the SD card, it can see that there's space on the phone but tells me that it didn't succeed (and nothing appears to change)
What is going on? Is there something wrong with my SD card maybe?
Ok, the restore worked with a brand new SD card. Will have to see if the battery life/heat issue is actually better now...
Yes, it seems to be behaving itself once again. Thanks!
i never dared to perform a backup/restore with bridge for Mac.
Does the process brings exactly what you had before(icons, app, widget, background), or have you to tidy up something?
Until now I always did it it via Google procedure.
apparently, this is a different problem.
Here's my battery status from tonight (after I "repaired" it a third time).
Phone was in stamina and airplane mode all the time and idling (display off).
Probably need to disable auto update of apps, especially sony and google ones.
