Z3+ SD card issue

My Z3+ has issues reading the SD card. While charging, the phone will randomly eject the card and restart the device. Then it won't recognize the card at all. I have to take the card out and re-insert it multiple times for it to work. I know the card isn't fried, or else it wouldn't read it at all after multiple attempts. It also happens when I'm not charging it. It just randomly stops reading the card. It did this earlier on when I first acquired the phone but then stopped for a long time. It just started doing it again a few days ago and it seems to be getting worse. It is highly irritating. Any suggestions or reasons for this problem???

You might have a faulty SD card - faulty ones often give inconsistent errors, especially in the build up to failing. First, copy anything important on it to a laptop or online storage, then ideally try a different microSD card. If a new one causes the same problem, then there is a problem with the phone. By the way, sometimes a faulty SD card can be repaired by a full reformat

I had a different SD Card when I first got the phone. Same thing happened with that one. I'm thinking it's the phone. Thankyou for your suggestion though. Much appreciated.
