Xperia Z3 Sreen Replacement Questions

I have an Xperia Z3 with a cracked screen at the bottom, less than 1 inch long. The screen only responds to touch where it is cracked oddly enough so I can only use it by plugging an external mouse into it which is not ideal.

My question is, if I just buy a glass will the whole screen work again? Or will I also need to buy a new digititizer?

The glass seems easy enough to replace, the digitizer seem a bit of a pain in the behind.

Thanks

Its easy up until you realise the glue is still bonded in places and the lcd panel cracks or tears.. Then it becomes quite expensive.

The digitizer is inside the glass, which is bonded to the lcd.
Trust me, it's a lot easier getting your local support to fix it.

I was looking into it further. What a shame, I can get the parts for cheap enough (around £15) and it looks simple enough from the YouTube tutorials but I don't think I have the time and/or patience Slightly_frowning_Face

I do not suggest changing the screen. use it as long as You can. After I changed mine, i had a lot of problems. The screen would go black and I can not take out the battery...or sometimes I can not end the call if they don't hang up on me.
