Xperia Z3 Compact wifi and bluetooth stopped working

Hello,

My Xperia Z3 Compact wifi and bluetooth stopped working. I have had the telephone for pretty much exaclty 1 year now without any issue.

I have followed Sony approved stepps and fully restored the phone, however this did not resolve the issues.

I am now left with a telephone missing all my applications and unable to connect to Wifi.

I am extremely upsets with Sony - not becuase the phone broke but because the advice provided was wrong and left me in a worse istuaton than the one I was in before.

Could you please comment on how to get wifi / blowtooth working again.

Note: I have not installed anything new and not sure if there was any automatic update lately (my issues started on 05 Jan 2016), the Android version I am on is 5.1.1.

I have done full backup so have not lost my contacts and messages, but lost all my applications.

Could you please comment on how to get wifi / blowtooth working again.

Thank you

@ajokubo

What you described its a hardware issue, your apps should be restored if you backed everything up. contact your Local support to get your device inspected

Hi @ajokubo,

I'm sorry to hear about your phone and that a full restore not help solve this.

I agree that it seems hardware related so I suggest that you follow Uliwoolys advice and get in touch with your Local support for information on how to proceed with getting your phone inspected.

IMPORTANT: READ!

Can I just say to everyone not to go through Sony to 'fix' or 'repair' your phone!

I have had the exact same issues, trying to find answers on the internet but have had no success. I wiped, reset and restored my phone multiple times and tried anything/everything else but nothing worked.

I sent my phone to Sony for a repair.

It took them 11 days to get back to me. All they said was: Your phone is beyond repair. Pay £260 and we will replace your phone.

I was not willing to pay £260 for them to replace my phone, so I asked them to send it back to me. However, the 'handling fee' for returning the phone is £20.54. I expressed I was unwilling to pay this amount due to the 11 days it had taken them just to tell me that they could not repair my phone.

However, they refused any discount even though they had admitted there was a delay to the 'repair' of the phone. They said I either pay the £260 to have the phone replaced, £20.54 to have it returned, or they will recycle it.

Ridiculous. I have now spent £20.54 for Sony to 'look' at my phone and tell me they cannot repair it, when clearly the problem lies with Sony themselves as it seems everyone is reporting the same problem after the system update.

Are Sony going to fix this? Doesn't look like it.

Do not buy a Sony phone. Their customer services are appalling.

I'm afraid there is no fix to this problem it seems. Sony need to sort it out.
