Xperia Z3 Compact Strange Charging Problem

Hi,

I have a strange charging problem with my Z3 compact mobile with android version 6.0.1, it is not charging with any charger and diffrent data cables. Charging light is on only when mobile is powered off and when i try to press power button to turn it on then as Sony logo shows the chaging light become off and until there is any display in mobile, it will not charge the mobile. In simple words it losses charging when power on. When i connect it to pc, it shows message, USB device is not recognized/malfunction. Today i bought a new fast charger that is the only one which is charging my mobile, other all chargers and cables are failed. what is the issue with it, please guide.

Hiya. I had the same problem. They wanted to charge me 49.99 to repair the charging port. Instead, I went to eBay and bought a magnetic charger for 1.98 . It's arrived today and it works brilliantly, both to charge my phone and connect it to my laptop. Underneath where you normally charge your phone, there is a magnetic charging port which has two dots either side of it and a bar between them. It's visible as not protected by one of those cover things. That's where you attach the magnetic charger. Works a dream!!
