Worst phone I've ever owned

I'm really extremely frustrated whenever I use my Sony Xperia Z5 recently because it kept pressing buttons automatically non-stop especially even when I'm using it and leading me to somewhere else. And whenever I'm typing, my phone will get crazy and start clicking itself on other several letters. What will take me just 3 minutes to type took me a legit 10 minutes ! It's driving me insane! I do on and off my phone whenever it happens but the situation still persists! I've checked this issue up online to see if anyone else faces the same problem and it turns out that this is one of the xperia phones issues. Please address this issue Sony. Through this bad experience I've had with my Sony Xperia Z5, I've sworn to myself never to buy a Sony phone ever again.

And not to mention, the battery drains out really fast and I can literally cook a chicken with my phone. Overheating game strong.

Hello @SonyXperiaZ5user,

Sorry to know about that Crying_Face

Did some of your problems happen when you have your phone in your pocket?

Did you ever try a Software Repair using Xperia Companion?

Before the Software repair, let´s try this:

1.

make sure Glove mode is turned off.

To turn off glove mode
  1. From your Home screen, tap .
  2. Find and tap Settings > Display > Glove mode.
  3. Tap the slider to turn off the function.

See if the touchscreen problem is solved!

2. If there is a memory card in your device, remove it and restart the device. If removing the memory card solves the issue, your SD card may be damaged. In this case you need to get a replacement SD card for your Xperia™ device.

IF NOT, let´s try this:

3. You can force your device to restart or shut down in situations where it stops responding or won't restart normally. No settings or personal data get deleted during a forced restart.

To force the device to shut down
Forcing Sony Xperia™ Z5 to shut down

  1. Open the cover for the nano SIM card and memory card slot.
  2. Using the tip of a pen or a similar object, press and hold down the OFF button for a few seconds.
  3. After your device emits a series of three quick vibrations, release the OFF button. The device turns off automatically.

Do not use overly sharp objects that could damage the OFF button.

To turn on the device
  1. Press and hold down the power key  until the device vibrates.
  2. Wait a moment for the device to start.

If after that the problems persists:

4. Use the Xperia™ Diagnostics application to carry out a quick test to check the touchscreen functionality. Xperia™ Diagnostics can assess potential hardware or software issues on your Xperia™ device.
To run a specific diagnostic test
  1. From your Home screen, tap .
  2. Find and tap Settings > About phone > Diagnostics.
  3. Swipe to the TEST tab and select a test from the list.
  4. Follow the instructions and tap YES or NO to confirm if the feature works.
  5. Tap Done.

Let me know how it goes Slightly_smiling_Face

I bought my phone , sony xperia z5 premium a year ago, and here is my sad story. it all started by draining the charger at a very fast rate during the FIRST DAY i bought it. i thought to myself maybe i should try and charging it till it reaches 100 but i was dissapointed to know that sony doesnt give a about your phone , they just want to reap you off, my phone would literally become so hot that i have to put it under a fan which I had to buy. People thought i was crazy . Imagiing waiting for your phone to cool off as it has become so hot, people would definetly think you are confused. I am almost crying right now coz i spent a lot of my savings to buy that sony xperia z5 but now as i am writing this story, my phone lies on top of the table dead, it cant charge a thing, it wont show any sign of hope and that is why i have made a promise to myself that i would never buy from sony ever again and mark my words if your reading this sony.
