Quite recently my phone started dropping the wifi connection after unlocking.
It seems to stay connected after I wake the screen, bu as soon as I unlock the wifi connection drops. Whereas is used to function properly, not dropping the connection whatsoever. Only thing that changed to is the latest OTA update for the Z3C, but that was weeks ago.
I've tried the following things:
- Reset router
- Removed and reconnected to the Wifi
- Thinkered around with the various advanced Wifi settings
- Enabled and disabled stamina mode
- Tried other networks to no avail, the issue persists
- Assigned static IP
Any suggestions?

Check Stamina mode, Is it enabled as what you are seeing if it is, Is the icon been displayed as connected from before stamina mode activated and cut off internet connections - It'd like a snap shot of that time on your screen so it will need to re-search find and then re-connect
In safe mode, the connection doesn't drop after unlocking. So there is an app conflicting then?
@Thommo. Stamina mode is turned off, all the power saving functions have been turned off too. Location based wifi is off and the screen options too.
Solved it: Hooked up the Z3C to my laptop and checked the debugging messages. There were conflicts with a FON app, killing the connection and trying to connect to a FON hotspot just out of range.
Long story short: The FON app was the culprit.
Nope, unfortunatelly not, problem seems to keep persisting
Try an App preferences reset - Settings then tap the 3 dots then Reset app preferences then reboot and test
Indeed its a thirdparty app acting up, you could uninstall one by one or use PCC to repair your phone
