Hi!

Does the Xperia Z2 support VoLTE? (Network supports VoLTE and the contract allows it)

If I dial any number, it switches me back to 3G then.

No, as AT&T doesn't carry the Z2.

I know T-mobile USA does support this but they are giving priority to iphones and the S6 and then it'll be incorporated to the Z3

This is up to the network/carrier to allow this on devices, contact them directly.

It is unbranded. So it is on Sony.

Yes and no, I haven't seen unlocked phones to work with VoLTE in the US, also, you should contact Sony directly as this is a user based forum
